Live links to other URL's
If you want to show a link to an internetsite in this wiki this can be done is different ways by linking.
- Linking not embedding is possible in three ways. Use linktekst (in edit [http://www.example.com linktekst]) and on clicking this link will be opened in a new screen. Using no hooks will display the totale URL as a link http://www.example.com (in edit http://www.example.com). Using hooks but no linktekst will show the URL as a number: [1]. In edit this looks like [http://www.example.com].
- the second possibilty is to make a screenshot (print screen). This means you make a picture of the site as it was at that certain moment. You put this picture somewhere on your pc and after this you can upload it as a regular picture into this wiki. Of course you have to give the picture a name as explained in Help:Werken met wiki-software#Benaming fotomateriaal.
- a third possibilty is to have another URL/site embedded in this wiki. This will show the other site as it actually is in this wiki (a mash up). The code (look in edit) is:
This is the code for embedding the site of retailnews as it is at this very moment (live). Do not do this to often as using this code might slow down the loading of the article. But this code can be very usefull!
And, interesting in using this embedding link: all of the links on the retailnewssite do work properly.
The basic code is:
<embedurl>http://www.retailnews.nl</embedurl>
You can alter width and height of the embedded part by adding to the code for instance: {width=800}{height=150}
<embedurl>http://www.telegraaf.nl{width=800}{height=150}</embedurl>
Realize that on embedding a site the actual site as it is at that moment will be shown: so if a site no longer exists for instance, this will be shown as well. So think ahead on using this code.

In Dutch: live opnemen andere URL's
Wil je een andere site (URL) of een deel daarvan laten zien in deze wiki, dan kan dat door
- daar heen te springen met [http://www.example.com linktekst].
- Een tweede mogelijkheid is om een screenshot te maken (Print screen): je hebt dan een plaatje gemaakt van hoe de site er op dat momen uitzag. dat plaatje kun je plaatsen in de wiki. Het plaatje geef je dan een naam zoals hierboven uitgelegd.
- Een derde mogelijkheid is om de andere site (URL) te laten verschijnen in deze wiki:
Dit is de Telegraaf zoals die op dit moment ook live te zien is op het internet. Doe dit niet te vaak het vertraagt het een en ander enigszins maar kan heel functioneel zijn.
En, alle links op deze site werken nu ook gewoon. De hele site (of een deel daarvan) draait nu binnen de wiki inclusief alle links etc.

Als je sites embed, denk dan even na over de continuiteit: immers de wiki met de betreffende link blijft bestaat, is de site er nog over twee/drie jaar? Als dat twijfelachtig is kun je beter niet embedden maart bijv. een screenshot maken en hier uploaden.
