An Advertising Specialty, or Promotional Product, is any item that can be imprinted with an organization's logo or slogan. These products are most often given as gifts to promote brand awareness. They can be given to attendees at trade shows and other events, distributed as gifts to employees, or used as incentives to win contests.

According to the Annual Industry Sales Analysis from the Advertising Specialty Institute, North American sales of advertising specialties were $17.8 billion in 2005. That is a record, is up 5% from the previous year, and indicates the third year of continuous increases since 2001. There are more than 750.000 products available for customization, including: wearables, pens, calendars, drinkware, bags, desk/office items, and magnets. Wearables is the largest category of ad specialties sold, and is comprised of t-shirts, hats, polo shirts and jackets.
